Assistant Organist
The Church of the Holy Spirit in Lake Forest, Illinois, seeks an Assistant Organist (12 hours/week). The Assistant Organist’s primary role is to accompany the church’s music program and the musical expression of the worshipping congregation. CHS boasts two organs, both by Harrison & Harrison of Durham, England. The main organ has 51 ranks over three manuals. The second organ is a 3-stop continuo instrument.
Preferred qualifications for a candidate include formal training in and understanding of the organ, organ repertoire and sacred music; excellence in technical and musical expression, including the accompaniment of choirs in anthems, Anglican Chant, and hymns; and experience with the church calendar and its distinctive liturgical needs.

Musician
Trinity Episcopal Parish seeks a musician to lead us as we gather each week to worship and praise God at our Crystal Lake (St. Mary’s) Campus. Experience on the organ and directing choirs is preferred but strong consideration will be given to those with less experience who have demonstrated skill on the piano and/or organ and are willing to learn.
Candidates should be comfortable with a range of musical genres and have an appreciation of the breadth and depth of the Anglican musical tradition.
Trinity Episcopal Parish is a parish with two campuses: Woodstock (St. Ann’s) and Crystal Lake (St. Mary’s). The campuses share worship about 4 Sundays a year, plus special services (Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, services of Taizé, and 2 services of Evensong or Lessons & Carols each year).

Eco DioChicago is hiring a part-time contractor to educate communities about the Illinois Solar For All (ILSFA) programs as part of our Caring Light campaign. This role involves planning and delivering in-person/virtual events in Northern Illinois (outside Chicago), focusing on income-eligible and environmental justice communities. You’ll provide clear, neutral information about ILSFA’s benefits, eligibility, and consumer protections, while leveraging Episcopal parish facilities and connections.
Ideal candidates have experience in community education, event planning, outreach, or public engagement, with strong communication skills and the ability to work in faith-based spaces. Organist and Choir Director (Part Time)
St. Paul’s Church By-the-Lake, the Episcopal Church in Chicago’s Rogers Park neighborhood since 1882, seeks a permanent part-time Organist and Choir Director.
St. Paul’s is a diverse and vibrant parish known for traditional Anglican liturgy and music beloved by its congregation. A small but dedicated volunteer choir sings for the 10:30 am Sung Mass on Sundays and occasions such as Holy Week and Christmas. The choir chants the minor propers of the English Gradual and sings the Ordinary as well as traditional hymns from the 1940 Hymnal and other sources. The choir rehearses briefly prior to Sunday’s Sung Mass and may use a limited number of extra singers and instrumentalists for major feast days or special occasions.
The ideal candidate will be a talented and dedicated musician who places a high value on the spirituality of music and worship, makes appropriate and high-quality music selections, including for special Masses and holidays, and is able to adapt to the style of our Mass with necessary flexibility as needed.
