Supply Priest Rates

For 2026, the compensation rates for Sunday supply work and consulting are:

• Saturday Evening and Sunday Morning Services, Ash Wednesday and Holy Week Supply:
  • $200 for one service
  • $250 for two services
  • $300 for three or more services

• Mid-Week Services
  • $100 for one service, $75 each additional service
• Consulting
  • $50 per hour, maximum $300 per day

• Mileage
  • Effective January 1, 2026, the mileage reimbursement rate has increased to $0.725 per mile. The mileage rate is set according to IRS standards and is subject to periodic change.

Pension Considerations

If you are expected to be regularly employed for less than five consecutive months, but actually work for five or more consecutive months, your participation in the Clergy Pension Plan will be mandatory retroactive to your date of hire.
