These include the churchwide General Convention, which is the church’s highest temporal authority, our own diocesan convention, which meets annually in November, and the other bodies that exercise oversight of ministerial and financial affairs in the diocese.

2026 Diocesan Convention
The 189th Annual Convention of the Episcopal Diocese of Chicago will be a two-day, hybrid event and will be conducted in two parts.
- Part 1 will be held on Zoom on Tuesday, November 10, at 6:30 pm.
- Part 2 will take place on Saturday, November 14, 9 am-4:30 pm, at Cliffbreakers Event Center in Rockford.
