In this section you will find information about the numerous bodies that play a role in governing the Episcopal Church. These include the churchwide General Convention, which is the church’s highest temporal authority, our own diocesan convention, which meets annually in November, and the other bodies that exercise oversight of ministerial and financial affairs in the diocese.

The 183rd Convention of the Diocese of Chicago will be held Friday, November 20 and Saturday, November 21 at the Westin Chicago Lombard at the Yorktown Center in Lombard. More information to come.
