Founded at All Saints’ Episcopal Church, CROSSwalk began as a four-mile procession across the city during Holy Week in April 2012. The procession brought together 1,500 people from across Chicagoland to remember the more than 800 young people who have been killed since 2008 and to call attention to the scourge of gun violence. We held a second procession in March 2013, remembering the youth who had died in the previous year.

Current CROSSwalk efforts include the funding of two summer jobs for at-risk youth in the city of Chicago in partnership with Youth Guidance. If you’re interested in sponsoring a summer job for a young person, please contact Crystal Plummer, director of networking, via email.
