Bishop-elect Clark to Undergo Surgery Tomorrow

As the Rev. Anne Jolly, Standing Committee president, announced on Sunday, Bishop-elect Paula Clark experienced a cerebral bleed on Saturday and is being treated at Alexian Brothers Hospital in Elk Grove Village. Read the message.

Bishop-elect Clark’s daughter, Micha Green, reports that she has now had two successful embolization procedures. On Thursday, she will undergo surgery to remove an arteriovenous malformation (AVM), which is highly treatable.

Please continue to keep Bishop-elect Clark, her family and her medical team in your prayers, but please do not call or visit the hospital for any reason. The Standing Committee expects to send a message on Friday that will include any necessary updates about Bishop-elect Clark’s consecration, currently scheduled for April 24.
