The Episcopal Diocese of Chicago is developing a strategic plan which will guide our life and ministry for the next three to five years. The first phase of this work, led by Saison Consulting, is a process of reflection and discovery as we listen deeply to the voices of our diocese and our communities.

Bishop Paula Clark has urged all members of the diocese to participate in the discovery process, by completing a diocesan survey or attending an online discernment conversation.

“There is no way for us to understand what God is calling us to do without having a sense of what God is calling you to do, either individually or as a member of your congregation,” she said.

A Prayer for Our Strategic Planning Process

Gracious God, we thank you for the gift of this diocese.

We ask you to send your Holy Spirit to guide our strategic planning process. May we discern your will,
listening to the voices of all your people and embracing the challenges ahead with courage and compassion.

Grant us wisdom to make decisions that reflect your love and faithfully serve the needs of our diocese,
now and into the future. We pray this in the name of the Creator, the Redeemer, and the Sanctifier. Amen.
