Bishop-elect Clark Recovering After Surgery

Bishop-elect Paula Clark’s condition is improving on the first full day after surgeons removed an arteriovenous malformation from her brain at Alexian Brothers Hospital in Elk Grove Village on Thursday. The chief surgeon is pleased with the pace of her recovery. We will have another update tomorrow.

Update, April 15:

Bishop-elect Paula Clark is recovering tonight at Alexian Brothers Hospital in Elk Grove Village after undergoing surgery today to remove an arteriovenous malformation (AVM) in her brain. The surgery went as expected, and the bishop-elect was stable throughout, according to a report from her daughter, Micha Green.

The bishop-elect’s surgeon was encouraged by a CT Scan and an angiogram performed after surgery. We expect to have another update tomorrow.
