On September 24, the Very Rev. Roberto Delos Reyes Pamatmat, Jr. was installed as the bishop of the Diocese of Tampa (Eastern USA and Eastern Canada) in the Philippine Independent Church. The Episcopal Church and the Philippine Independent Church—also known as the Iglesia Filipina Independiente—have been in full communion for more than 60 years. Prior to his election as bishop, Pamatmat served as vicar of St. Columba of Iona Episcopal Church in Hannover Park.
