All Saints, St. John’s in Chicago Awarded Episcopal Church Grants

Two congregations in the Diocese of Chicago have been awarded Becoming Beloved Community grants by the Executive Council of the Episcopal Church. The grant funding, allocated by General Convention in 2018, is designed to build capacity and increase Episcopal involvement in racial reconciliation work.

All Saints was awarded a grant of $3,000 for its programs on talking with children about race, while St. John’s was awarded $4,000 to expand the work of its antiracism team, which seeks to dismantle racism within the church and community. The two congregations will collaborate on their projects.
