Message from Archbishop Joseph Garang Atem

For the 184th Convention of the Diocese of Chicago 2021

Dear Rt. Rev. Chilton Knudsen, clergy and lay delegates, visitors and guests attending the 184th Diocesan Convention, and to all friends and partners with Renk Diocese,

May mercy, grace, peace and love be multiplied to you. I am thankful to God and to all of you for your prayers for South Sudan

To all my friends of the Diocese, I send condolences to families who lost a loved one because of COVID-19 and other sicknesses. We, in Renk, are committed to prayers for you, as you pray for us. We are thankful to have no recorded cases in Renk.

The whole Diocese of Renk is praying for recovery and healing of Bishop-elect Paula Clark, and for her husband, Andrew, and family. We pray for peace and serenity and and a very real presence of our Lord and Saviour in their lives at this time.

To my dear friends, I say, “And, I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ”. Philippians 1:6

May God give you wisdom and peace in your hearts and minds for the glory of His name.

Your prayers and support for the Diocese of Renk, and for me, as Archbishop of Upper Nile, and Bishop of Renk, give me encouragement and strength to do more for God’s people.

Every blessing, with deep appreciation, on behalf of the people of Renk Diocese.

Your brother in Christ,

The Most Rev. Joseph Garang Atem Zorial
Diocese of Renk
