Lenten Book Discussion: Meeks Visits Evanston and Chicago

During Lent, Bishop Lee and other diocesan leaders will guide an online book discussion on “Living into God’s Dream: Dismantling Racism in America,” a collection of essays edited by Dr. Catherine Meeks. Congregations are encouraged to hold their own discussions of the book. The book is available online from Church PublishingAmazon (book and Kindle formats), and other retailers.
The online discussion will take place each Wednesday, featuring a written reflection posted in the diocesan e-newsletter and on the website and a facilitated discussion on Facebook page from 7 to 8 pm.
On Sunday, March 5 at 12:30 pm, St. Martin’s Episcopal Church in Chicago will host a luncheon reception and book signing with Dr. Catherine Meeks. RSVP via email. A free will offering will be taken.
Also on March 5 at 4 pm, Meeks will preach at St. James Cathedral’s choral evensong. The choir will sing music by Byrd, Gibbons and Bach and Bishop Lee will preside.
