The Episcopal Diocese of Chicago requires antiracism training for people in elected and appointed leadership positions. It is also a requirement for congregational study guide facilitators for the Legacy of Slavery Report. The training is also open to anyone in the diocese who wants to help build a stronger multicultural community.
Understanding and Analyzing Systemic Racism, presented by Chicago Regional Organizing for Antiracism (Chicago ROAR) and subsidized by the Antiracism Commission of the Diocese of Chicago, provides an in-depth look at race and racism in the United States. Individuals affiliated with the Episcopal Diocese of Chicago attend at a reduced rate ($105 early bird rate, $150 regular rate using the code EDOC). Scholarships are also available.

The workshop is an excellent opportunity for individuals & institutional leaders responsible for diversity or social justice. Using a variety of interactive tools, it explores the historical development of institutional racism and its continuing impact. Participants will also be introduced to strategic methods to dismantle systemic racism.
